A Wild Adventure....

 

I got this quote via an email from Larry Crabb and have not been able to stop thinking about it....  it challenges me big time right now so I decided to make it a quotable.  I must admit that it's a much needed reminder that I have let myself become less adventurous over the last 2 months as life has gotten harder.  When I think of the months I pursed adventure...and Him... I was... well it's hard to explain and happy does not do it justice.  

I had fun choosing the graphic and creating again...so I am going to have a quotable week!  Creating stirs my heart and brings delight.

Of course I need great quotes so leave a favorite (or two) in the comments and you might see it as a quotable!

 

I am also pondering a quotable week of the Word...what do you think?

A Reminder...

Quotable :: Henri Nouwen

Words move my heart.  I adore how you can read something and it so describe what you are thinking and feeling.  Lately besides the Word (always the Word!) Henri Nouwen's words have moved my heart in a big way.  I know I am not alone in this because a group of people run a website called the Henri Nouwen Society.  One of my favorite things is that you can sign up for daily or weekly inspiration.  (Thanks to a sweet friend for forwarding an especially encouraging one to me I know can get some of that encouragement daily!)

This one came over the weekend and touched my weary heart...so I wanted to share it with y'all today in hopes that if you are feeling weary...or unloved... or just down...this will remind you to trust the One who loves us so.

Hello July!

I must admit I am so glad July is here.

Even with the birth of sweet Toccoa last month....June was the worst month I have had in many years.  

So I whole heartedly welcome July!  Although I am having trouble believing 2010 is half over...even though the last two weeks have felt like a year!

July got off to a fabulous start when my cousin, Jennifer, arrived home after her year traveling around the world as part of a missions trip called The World Race.  I cannot wait to see her beautiful face and hear all the amazing things God did!

I had fun with a sweet friend on Saturday and Sunday was spent quietly at home with my Mum.  We cooked a fabulous meal and watched random television...it was a much needed lazy day.  Thanks to Lauren I made bruschetta that we had with dinner and it was amazing...and strawberry shortcake for dessert made the end of the day sweet.

I am so thankful for days filled with joy.  That is why I chose the quotes for this month's wallpaper with that word in mind.

I am glad you had such fun on Friday choosing the photo and quote for July's wallpaper.  The photo won by a landslide...but the quote voting was close.  I will definitely be asking for your opinion again Peaches!!

I love the pairing of the quote with the photo  The woman enjoying the sun with such joy...and the quote a reminder that Joy is a wonderful sign of the presence of our God.

You will probably be seeing a few more creative things in the coming weeks.  I am focusing in on my passions again and bringing joy to my heart with my creativeness.  I love how He works.

Then I decided to come to you dear Peaches....I know some of you probably have some amazing favorite quotes and I want to know what they are!!

A Creative Busy Bee.

  

I have been a busy little bee over the weekend!  I created some new Quotables.  These are special because they are Word quotables and they are sized for your blog sidebar!  I requested Word suggestions (it's not to late to add one...just go to the post and add your own!) on Friday and several of you had some great verses!  If you suggested one (or more) you should find one you love there!

I also created categories so when you go to the Quotable page you will see quite a few changes! 

On the survey last month several of you asked for more quotables and for Word quotables.  I will be working on my Quotable section a lot this year.  :)
