Because of Jen's Soli Deo Gloria sisterhood on Tuesday I have met some amazing bloggers...one is Tiffani who is hosting Word Women Wednesday. I know I usually do The Wednesday What but I thought I would join in with Tiffani this week and give you a glimpse of a day in the life of Critty Joy.
Each day of my week looks different because of what I do for work and a few other factors. Tuesday is my most scheduled day of the week.
Unfortunately.... I went to doctor on Monday and was told to take a few days to rest and just let the meds work... blah I say!
So here is a look at an abnormal Tuesday (usually I am at work on Tuesday....)
Alarm goes off at 6:47 am. Hit snooze. Alarm goes off at 6:56 am. Hit snooze. Lay still for a moment and then move cat to get up.
Prepare for shower and notice moving extra slow this morning... the visit the day before to the doctor comes to mind and I realize he may have been right about taking a sick day.
Shower and spend an inordinate amount of time just standing there under the warm water.
Realize I should listen to doctor and call work at 7:45 am and tell them I am sick.
Sigh.
Let the dogs out and then have a simple breakfast of a toaster pastry.
Spend most of the morning reading.... find a familiar and well loved book to re-read. There is such comfort in re-reading an old favorite. Take some time to do my daily devotional a few hours later than normal. Kind of like the change of pace!
Part of the afternoon is spent on some paperwork for work because it needs to be done....and a nap. A rather long nap...but needed.
Watch some cheesy television/movie goodness on netflix and hulu....spend some time on facebook and twitter to catch up with friends and check email.
Eat a very late dinner and back to bed...
So ends sick day two for Critty Joy....
What my normal Tuesday would look like...
The same beginning... work at 9 am... morning sessions and connecting with boss and other co-workers about teens, lunch with co-workers, afternoon sessions and paperwork. Home by 6 for dinner, catch up on email, facebook, and twitter, some television, and possibly reading and writing....bed.
So I am thinking I will be thankful for my abnormal Tuesday. :o)

I just need to tell you 2 things:
1. I love that you clock goes off at random numbers. Not the usual times ending in "0" or "5." I think this to be quite fun.
2. I love who you are and I'm so glad to know you. (maybe that's 3 things?)

Even when you're having an abnormal day, you're such a positive influence, thank you. Take care of yourself, enjoy your books, and hooray for toaster pastries! :)

Was thinking of you and popped over to see how you were doing. So sorry you're not feeling well. I have a sweet beloved struggling with that right now and know how hard it can be. Praying for you today.

Had trouble posting a comment so I apologize if you get it twice.
So you're a "snooze" hitter? My husband is a snooze hitter. Or he was a snooze hitter til I made him stop! I don't know how snooze hitter do it :)
Enjoyed the trip through your day. Sometimes "abnormal" days are good for us. Just hate to be sick for them!
