Hello dear ones!
I have missed you....and boredom has reached new heights this week. I am feeling a little better but the doctor says this is going to be a slow process...so I am learning to slow down. I am not sure what blogging will look like over the next few weeks but I will be popping in :)
I thought it would be great to end my week on a fun note... My dear friend Jenn tagged me in this fun little blog meme so I just had to join in and tell you some randomness about me.
1. I still have Christmas movies on my DVR. 4 of them in fact. I just love Christmas movies so I recorded my favorites and I am keeping them for a day I need some happy in my life.
2. I am a chocolate snob. Once I discovered Cadbury's in England way back in 2003 there has been no going back from being a chocolate snob. Hershey's....ha! If I need american chocolate I will go with Dove but give me European chocolate any day!
3. I am a RE. (re-reader and re-watcher) I love to go back and re-read my favorite books...it's like visiting with an old friend. I also love re-watching my favorite television shows.... Veronca Mars, Psych and I am starting to re-watch Friday Night Lights in anticipation of the final season coming soon. (If you have not watched Friday Night Lights and you have netflix...you must go check it out....best show ever.)
4. I am a devotional hoarder. I seriously have 7 on my little "study" table. The one I am using most right now is called Solo and I love it but I am getting a new one called Bread for the Journey by Henri Nouwen... I think I will be using these two for a while though.
5. I have a big thing for quotes. I love them. I have a notebook on evernote for my quotes and then divide them from there.... Quotes on such and such.... I have erhm 30 different sections. Yeah.
6. Nothing makes me happier than when a friend says they saw a butterfly and it made them think of me. Since I adore butterflies so much and they make my heart happy....this is one of my favorite compliments to hear. :)
7. I have a thing for personalized items....notecards with my name or a C.... embroidered things... I love getting them and buying them for others. I am thankful Etsy offers this wonderfulness from onsies to necklaces....especially since my niece has a very unique name. :)
So there you have it...
Now the thing is you are suppose to tag some people...I have decided to tag YOU...if you comment consider yourself tagged. What can I say...I love hearing about others and what fun would it be to learn 7 random things about you. You can do it in a post (just let me know) or here in the comments :)
Have a wonderful weekend,
These are great! So glad that you did this, as I LOVE knowing more about you. And, I can re-watch somethings. My very favorite movie to watch over and over is 10 Things I Hate About You. Have you seen it?

Oops. Delete that. Silly iPhone typing. :) Glad you are feeling a little better. Love those little tid-bits about you.

We are the same in #2,3, and 4! I loved especially the re-watching and re-seeing...this is so me! I thought I was intellectually lazy to do this, but, you know, maybe I am, but it's kind and warm and I love how I feel curling up to either. Oh, and Lindt for me as far as European chocolate and also now must say Boci--Hungarian. And Hershey's well, I agree, not the same, but since my Dad was born there, I still feel loyal;)
Friday Night Lights...saw the movie, but have not watched the series...ok, maybe??!!
and for #6: butterflies are glorious and I always think of my mom...like they're a kiss from her from heaven...but yes, can think of you too:) kindred things, the best!

So glad to see you were up and around today. I liked your list -- FUN. Prayers for your continued recovery! Chocolate helps. :)
Let's see, 7 random things...
1) I start every morning with a cup of coffee (or two or ten...) and read the "Girlfriends in God" devotional via email -- very uplifting.
2) The gray hairs are starting to outnumber the brown, but my daughter said they look like "tinsel" and I rather like the idea of being a tinsel head. (I love Christmas movies, too!)
3) My blood type should be "C" -- for chocolate -- or caffeine -- but it stands for Christ. :)
4) I LOVE to cook. Almost more than I love to eat.
5) I can drive a semi. Some of the most enjoyable years of my life were spent trucking all over the USA and writing about God's gorgeous scenery.
6) Fishing makes me happy. I love being on the water, or as close to it as possible.
7) My "favorites" list includes Critty Joy's blog (top of the list), a bunch of cooking websites, a Christian radio station in Minnesota, the National Archives Library for my ongoing love affair with words, and a student pilot Q & A site for my "dream" of one day becoming a pilot. :)

A couple of Kiley's books have butterflies in them. One is a gorgeous blue one. I started to take a picture of it yesterday, but forgot to (she turns the pages too fast and we were on to the next book!). I love that it makes me think of you :-)

I love this list! And I adore you because you adore Cadbury, which is made in my home state here in Australia! Cadbury IS the only chocolate for me. I too am a Cadbury snob! I am a RE too...as in re-watcher. I love butterflies too. Oh, and quotes and devotionals! xo

I am a re too. I keep my favorite books handy and skip to my favorite parts. I just finished all the seasons of Bones on Netflix.
I love mysteries and crime shows.
I still watch soap operas, mainly Days of Our Lives, because my mother and grandmother got me started when they first came on. It's more of the memories of sitting with them while I watched than anything else.
I'm starting a quilting studio in my house with my first class next month! Check out my link on my website, Stitched Together.
When I read the Bible, I ask weird questions that no one thinks of....like why did God allow Job to lose everything...but his wife....or did Jesus ever cause the weather to be just perfect while He was walking from town to town?
I started my first forum on the internet over 13 years ago with a Bible study group called MOMS, mothers offering mothers support.
My son will turn 17 next month and will be a senior next year....I can't understand how quickly the time passes.
Love you....praying for you!!!!

I am a chocolate snob as well. Canadian chocolate is much better than American chocolate.
I am far from a re. I am like an anti-re. The only reason I buy books now is to pass them on to someone else...or in the rare occasion that our library does not have them.
I just used a free credit I had at Shutterfly for some personalized stationary. it actually says "melissa lea peacock" across the top. I have two different kinds-thank you notes and letterhead. Both are gorgeous and almost too beautiful to use. Almost.
I loved your seven things. :)
