CR :: Those Big Birthday Wishes.....

So.

My birthday is one month from today.  (Yes.  If you are paying attention to the date it will be 10/10/10)

Sadly there is nothing exciting happening that day.  But a girl can always dream I suppose.

So I was thinking this week about birthday things....(Thanks to Alex's birthday love posts which you might want to check out seeing as she is giving something gorgeous away).... and how when asked what I want for my birthday I never ever have a clue.  It is the same way every Christmas.  I stink at telling others what I want.

BUT.

I am really good at having really big birthday wishes that will probably never come true.

It seems to be a gift I have to live in a fantasy world of birthday dreams.  For the weeks leading up to my birthday I seem to shift to this mode.  This just proves at times I am a very fanciful girl.  I also wonder sometimes if others do this or is it just me?

 

I thought it might be interesting to share some of my favorite big birthday wishes with you seeing as this is Caffeinated Randomness and big birthday wishes definitely fit that description....

♥♥ One of my fondest wishes is to have a big birthday bash with all the people I love in one place.  Alas this will not happen because all the people I love?  Scattered all over.  It is however a fun wish!

♥♥ Another wish is a private birthday concert with my favorite band....right now that band would be NeedtoBreathe.

Hmmm.  Put those first two wishes together and that sounds like the BEST birthday ever!

♥♥ I have always wanted to celebrate with someone who shared my birthday...last year I found my birthday buddy!  Tracy has the same birthday as me!  So I think it would be so fun to celebrate our birthday together.  Seeing as how she is also one of my favorite people I am dying to meet!

♥♥ Sometimes I wish for a surprise visitor to just show up on my birthday....just for the surprise.  Who?  Well that is part of the fun!  I, however, do not care for surprises which begs the question as to why this is one of my wishes.

♥♥ One of my favorite wishes is that I wake up and overnight was inundated with flowers.  A room full of flowers....a little piece of heaven on earth.

♥♥ As a single girl one of my fondest wishes....meeting the guy of my dreams on my birthday...how fun would that story be one day?

 

Yeah.  Those are my crazy birthday wishes that have little chance at every coming to fruition...but sometimes it sure is fun to dream!  Of course this is just a small portion of my big birthday wishes.

Now for my question...

Do you do the same thing with your birthday?  Do you have big birthday wishes in your heart that you don't share?  Well here is your chance to share those dreams...especially with the girl who readily admits to dreaming big birthday dreams!  You will also help convince me that I am not completely off my rocker.  ;)

Those are such great wishes. My wish? That my husband would fully plan a trip and whisk me away somewhere tropical!

Whenever it is someone's birthday, the song "This is the Day" runs through my head and I sing it unabashedly in that person's honour. Your birthday is a day the Lord has made so rejoice and be glad and in it! He certainly does!

Well, ya know...10/10/10...is MY birthday too! Just sharing it with you again will be special for me! *hugs* I do this too...in some ways there is no possible let down from impossible wishes! Does that even make sense? HA! I'm thinking "Kindle" thoughts...personally...

Christy - I hope you get ALL your wishes this year! I mean, it's only appropriate that all these happen on 10/10/10 right? :) I better be invited to the bash, though. :)

I've never been a big birthday person, which is strange. I've WANTED to be a big birthday person, like my friends who celebrate for the entire month. But my birthday always gets overshadowed by July 4th and the fact that my husband's grandparents anniversary is on my bday. I would much rather work behind the scenes and surprise someone else for their birthday.

Although my friends did a huge surprise blowout for me when I turned 21, and it was awesome. Maybe if more things like that happened, I'd like it.

As of right now, next year is the big 3-0 for me. So, uh, not really excited about that one coming around. :)

I am LOVING these wishes. LOVING them! I do this a BIT every once in a while, but not like you do.

Sharing a birthday with someone is SO fun - and there are actually like 7 of my FB friends who have the same birthday I do - and one of them is local.
