Yesterday I introduced you to Pilgrims and Questions....
Today it's Prayer and Pouring Out.
You will notice in the side bar the prayer button. I love prayer. I think it is the greatest honor to carry others to the Throne before our God. Especially sometimes when we want to do something and we can't. I think we forget the power of prayer sometimes compared to helping someone in a different way. Prayer just does not seem to be enough when in fact it is the very most important thing.
If you have a prayer request and want someone to pray...you can go and leave it there. You can do it anonymously or add your email address or blog link. The list will start over each month. And if you feel like praying for others you can go visit the list too.
In the early months of this year I introduced Pouring Out. No one seemed very interested...and I let that get me down instead of keeping up with the challenge of it. You can see what the original mission of it was by visiting the button in the side bar. In September things are going to change. I am bringing back Pouring Out. At the beginning of each month I am going to challenge you to pour into someone in your life. It could be a sibling or a friend that is having a difficult time. Then through out that month remind you. At the end of the month I will host a link up where you tell us what you learned and what impacted you. I hope you will join me next month!
So that is the 4 new things coming to Critty Joy. I am very excited about all of them!
This is what I meant by posting with a twist. The questions post each week is about you....and of course I will still enjoy randomness with Linda and Random Dozen at times and Caffeinated Randomness with Andrea! Twice a month I will be featuring YOU and other times you will get to read my thoughts.
Sounds like a fun hodge podge of goodness to me!
I am so excited to see what is happening here. You really do have incredible ideas. I have heard that it takes a lot of time for some things to establish. Keep at it, my friend!

Agreed. Loved pouring out. It really challenged me. I was always behind, though!

I think it can be easy to let lack of participation get you down. I know that happened with a few things I tried to get going on my blog that never really seemed to "click" with my readers. No solutions, it still gets to me :)
I think Pouring Out is a great idea. I confess I never participated, and I can't promise I will in the future. I'm just kind of in a survival mode right now, which probably means I SHOULD get outside my own life...oh well :) That doesn't mean it's not fabulous, though, and if it means a lot to you you should keep it up!

Ditto what Andrea said. LOVE that you are bringing this back!
Don't let the lack of participation get you down. I've always noticed that any time I post something remotely spiritual (like my SOAP posts) I get very few comments. People are just drawn to different things, I guess. But their response should not deter you from doing an amazing project!

I think I started following you at the tail end of Pouring Out. The last one you did in March (soldiers) really challenged me. It has, I think, changed my life in a small way! So, I am very glad that Pouring Out is coming back.

I am really excited about Pouring Out. When you last introduced it I never joined in (it was a selfish, depressing period I was going through, even if then I didn't want to admit it) and now, with all the things God is stirring in my heart, I know I will get involved this time around.
I love the ministry that this blog is becoming, your sojourner's heart is needed out here in blogland. I am so glad I get to journey with you.

I am so glad you are bringing back Pouring Out! I love the whole idea behind it. And don't let it discourage you - even though you may not have had a lot of people visibly participate, you have no idea of how many people it actually challenged who just kept quiet about it. ;)
I love your heart - it is so beautiful!
