I have had this quote in my mind for a while. My cousin Jennifer had it as her status a long time ago and I immediately copied it for my quote file.
"There came a time when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom." —Anaïs NinLast Thursday I felt like this quote was coming so true in my life.
I have always chosen to remain tight in the bud. I could list for you many reasons. Fear. Confusion. Hurt. A need for acceptance over God's truth. And a feeling of being trapped.
So because of those things I choose to stay in the bud. Unfortunately that also means I missed a lot of opportunities. I missed a lot of open doors and windows. I missed moving forward.
Thursday was the day I realized I was tired of remaining in the bud.
He has been doing a big work in me.
And I can no longer remain as I was.
He has watered and cultivated me. He has given me the Son.
It is time to bloom.
I cannot wait to see what kind of flower I become.
All I know is I will be beautiful because He planted me.
Please feel free to grab the image to use if you would like. I am using it as my desktop wallpaper....as a reminder of what is to come! :)
What a beautiful picture, and a great quote too!

This is so funny! I, too, have seen this quote and wrote it down somewhere. Just last night or the night before I was wondering where it was and what I had done with it! I really like its point and think it holds true to me in many areas in my life. What an incredibly amazing season to bloom ~Spring! Life anew by the splendor of His hands!
In His hands,
