Among these volunteers, she pledges to make the plight of the Spanish people known around the world through the power of art.
Trouble the Water by Nicole Seitz--Set in the South Carolina Sea Islands, Nicole Seitz's novel follows the stories of two sisters. One is seeking to recreate her life yet again and learns to truly live from a group of Gullah nannies she meets on the island. The other thinks she's got it all together until her sister's imminent death from cancer causes her to re-examine her own life and seek the healing and rebirth her troubled sister managed to find on St. Anne's Island. An entrancing, unsettling story of sisterhood and sea changes, healing grace and unlikely angels. A tragic, hilarious, hope-filled novel about the art of starting over.
ColdWater Revival by Nancy Jo Jenkins-- One of Emma Grace Falin's six-year-old twin brothers falls into a well and dies while in her care. She begins a journey that takes her through the dark valley of guilt, sorrow, depression, and anger at God. But through her ordeal you see the hand of God at work. Although she rejects Him, God brings restoration and healing into her troubled life. Gain a better understanding of God's mercy, as he compassionately guides the lives of Emma Grace and her family during their desperate period of grief and despair.
It Happens Every Spring by Gary Chapman and Catherine Palmer-- The first in the Four Seasons series takes us to Deepwater Cove, a small community on the shore of the Lake of the Ozarks, where we're introduced to four couples in different stages of life. It Happens Every Spring centers on Brenda, a lonely wife, and Steve, a go-getter real estate agent, in the mid-winter of their relationship. When a stranger appears at their door one night, change blows through their house and their marriage.
The Passion of Mary-Margaret by Lisa Samson-- When Mary-Margaret Fischer met Jude Keller, the lighthouse keeper's son, she was studying at a convent school on a small island off Chesapeake Bay. Destined for a life as a religious sister, she nevertheless felt a pull toward Jude--gorgeous, rebellious, promiscuous Jude. But Jude, driven by demons no one really understood, disappeared into Baltimore's seamy red-light district. Mary-Margaret moved on with her life, preparing to serve God with her sisters as a teacher and artist. Then Jude comes home--but now he's bitter, dissolute, and diseased. And Mary-Margaret receives a divine call that shakes her to the core, a call to give up her dreams for the troubled man who befriended her so long ago. For Jesus' sake, can she forsake the only life she ever wanted for a love that could literally cost her life?
A Walk with Jane Austen by Lori Smith-- Tracing the steps of her literary hero, Smith explores themes of love, heartache, community, independence, creativity, a woman's place in the world, and the depth of Austen's faith. You'll discover the stories that made the author who she was, the subjects she never wrote about, the things that inspired her, and the beliefs that drove her.
Lady of MilkWeed Manor by Julie Klassen-- Charlotte Lamb, a fallen vicar's daughter, hopes to secret herself away in London's grim Milkweed Manor. But once there, she is mortified to find herself in the care of a former suitor, a physician whom her father long ago rejected as unsuitable, a man who now hides secrets of his own. Both are determined, with God's help, to protect those they love. But neither could guess the depth of sacrifice that will be required of them.
Blue Heart Blessed by Susan Meissner-- Left standing at the altar, Daisy Murien, a wounded but hopeful romantic, opens a secondhand wedding dress boutique, hoping to soothe her broken heart while giving doomed wedding dresses a second chance at love. Her predictable days take a sharp turn, though, when the retired Episcopal priest who blesses the tiny, blue satin heart she sews into each dress falls ill. When the priest’s brooding and recently divorced son arrives with plans to take his ailing father away, a contest of wills begins between two stubborn—and hurting—souls. While fighting to keep Father Laurent close by, Daisy finally begins to understand why she has routinely convinced potential buyers not to buy the one gown that started her business—her own: She doesn’t want to give up on the dream of a fairytale romance.
Loving Liza Jane by Sharlene MacLaren-- Eliza Jane Meriwether knew her Aunt Hettie and Uncle Gideon loved her, after all they had raised her and were wonderful guardians, but there comes a time when a girl has to try her wings. That's why she answered an ad to be the new schoolmarm at LIttle Hickman Creek, Kentucky. However, the inhabitants of her new home were not excactly what she had expected. The students had already run off three teachers, two of them men, so the townspeople didn't expect her to stay either. Liza Jane faced a lot of challenges in her new location, but perhaps the greatest challenge of all was dealing with Ben Broughton, a young widower with two small daughters. The daughters are delightful, but Ben keeps interferring with her determination to be independent. Why can't the man just stay out of her way?
A Bride Most Begrudging by Deanna Gist-- When Lady Constance Morrow finds herself held against her will aboard a ship bound for the American colonies—a ship filled with "tobacco brides" and felons—she is quite sure that as soon as she arrives she will find a reasonable man who will believe her father is an earl and send her back on the next ship to England. Instead she meets Drew O’Connor, a determined Colonial farmer who is nearly as headstrong as she is. Drew wins Constance as his bride but soon realizes he has taken on much more than he bargained for.
Courting Trouble by Deanna Gist-- Essie Spreckelmeyer loves her hats, her snakes and her bicycle--Peg, for short. But the one thing she wants to love, but can't, is a husband. The year of her thirtieth birthday, Essie creates a list of potential husbands to catch...but the catching, and the unintended consequences thereof, might cause her more trouble than it's worth.
Fancy Pants by Cathy Marie Hake-- When Britisher Lady Sydney Hathwell's father dies, the American who planned to wed her suddenly reneges. Stranded in America and penniless, Sydney contacts a relative in Texas who, mistaking her male-sounding name, invites his "nephew" to join him on his ranch. "Big Tim" Creighton, however, is appalled when this mincing fop arrives at Forsaken. He determines he'll turn Fancy Pants Hathwell into a man before the boss returns home. From the get-go, he has "the kid" mucking stalls, clearing and plowing a field, and assisting with a difficult calving. But when Sydney's true identity is uncovered, Tim resents being deceived. Yet in time, he also finds that he doesn't like all the attention Sydney garners now that she's wearing pretty gowns...Together Sydney and Tim will discover the importance of family and what it means to be a man--and a woman--of God.
Bittersweet by Cathy Marie Hake-- Laney McCain has unabashedly had her sights set on Galen O'Sullivan for years. And though Galen has treated her as nothing more than his best friend's pesky tag-along sister, Laney dares hope that now is the time he will open his eyes and truly recognize the woman she's become. But the arrival of Ishmael and Ivy Grubb, squatters on the O'Sullivans' land, diverts Galen's attention. Though the Grubbs are crass and uneducated, Galen shows mercy and allows them to stay in exchange for help around the farm. But it becomes a decision he lives to regret.... Sometimes the Journey to Love Is Truly Bittersweet.
Letter Perfect by Cathy Marie Hake-- Ruth Caldwell has always tried to live up to her mother’s expectations of what a lady should be…often with less than impressive results. But when she’s forced to journey west to meet the father she’s never seen, Ruth hopes that this might be the place she’ll finally fit in. But her arrival brings about more mayhem than even Ruth is used to. She soon meets Josh McCain, the son of her father’s business partner, but discovers some startling news: Her father passed away years ago. And though Josh urges Ruth to claim her inheritance, he grows suspicious of something more sinister at hand when her "accidents" seem to go beyond Ruth’s normal bumbling ways and leave her very life in danger.
Blessed Assurance by Lyn Cote-- Blessed Assurance is Avon Inspire's beautifully repackaged edition of three previously released titles by Lyn Cote: Whispers of Love; Lost in His Love; and Echoes of Mercy.
What Lies Within by Karen Ball-- Nothing’s going to stop Kyla… until the ground crumbles beneath her feet. Kyla Justice has arrived. Her company, Justice Construction, is one of the most critically acclaimed, commercially successful companies in the Pacific Northwest. And yet, something is missing. Not until she’s called on to build a center for inner-city kids does she realize what it is: her sense of purpose. Now nothing can stop her, not the low budget, not supply problems, not gang opposition, not her boyfriend’s suggestion that she sell her business and marry him–and most especially not that disagreeable Rafael Murphy. Rafe Murphy understands battle. Wounded in action, this Force Recon Marine carries the scars–and the nightmares–to prove it. Though he can’t fight overseas any longer, he’s found his place as a warrior in the civilian world. So he soldiers on, trusting that one of these days, God will reveal to him why Rafe survived the ambush in Iraq. That day has arrived. Kyla and Rafe both discover that determination alone won’t carry them through danger and challenges. When gang violence threatens their very foundations, there’s only one way to survive: rely on each other, be real–and surrender to God. In other words, risk everything…

Even though her friends beg her not to give up her dream of happiness, Willow is determined to do the right thing for those who are dearest to her.
