The one with confirmation

I know that I talked in January about this year being a journey for me.

But I never told you why...

In December I asked God to give me one word that would describe my next year. After several days of the prayer God gave me the word journey.

So as January started I saw in many ways how this year was going to be a journey and all I could really think about was ok so I am on this journey but where will I end up.

I even wrote several times about how the journey was progressing...God was already teaching me so many things! And then I started thinking again about the destination.

But my God in His awesomeness brought me back this weekend to the journey.

On Friday night in our group session Karen (my mentor/counselor as well as our special retreat leader!) talked of how their pastor had told them to ask God to give them a word to describe the year ahead. I just smiled knowing how special the words are that God gives us but said nothing about God giving me my word....

On Saturday afternoon I got to spend some time with Karen one on one. As we are sitting in the room talking she looks at me and says "Christy it seems as if God is leading you on a journey this year" I looked at her and smiled through my tears and asked her how she knew.
"Knew what" she asked.
"My word" I said.
And I explained to her what I had done in December.
It was so special to share something so near to my heart and have someone be as excited as I was.

I love when God confirms things in our lives!!

HE is so good.

But that would not be all the confirmation I got this weekend........

Isn't this the coolest thing - when we get confirmation in the least expected ways :)
