So. Pouring Out is back! And it is now a monthly meme. (If you would like more information about pouring out click on the image above.)
Did you know there is a national day of encouragement? Isn't that the most fabulous thing ever? I discovered it last year in November but alas it had already past so I made a note on my iCal to remember it this year.
Sunday, September 12 is the National Day of Encouragement. I love that there is a national day of something I think is so vitally important. Encouragement. I just wish more people knew about the day!
Because the purpose of pouring out is encouragement I think that September is the perfect month for intentionally pouring out into someone else while He is pouring into YOU!
So my pouring out challenge to you this month is to choose one person to intentionally encourage all month long. It could be a IRL friend, a blog friend, a family member, a neighbor....anyone. It could be someone who is having a rough time or just someone you want to know how special they are to you. The point is to spend the next 29 days intentional pouring encouragement into someone in your life.
That can look different for each person. For some it means sending emails, writing on their facebook wall, sending a care package or a card, or inviting them to dinner or coffee or lunch. It could also mean long phone calls or skype conversations, daily text messages, conversations at your favorite spot.
The point (in case I have not repeated it enough...haha!) is to be intentional about pouring into one person in your life this month in a special way.
Then at the end of the month I will host a link up where you post your observations (on your own blog) about pouring out and into the other person....what did you learn, did the person notice, how did you feel, how do you think it made them feel, is this something you should be more aware of doing....etc.
I will be posting reminders at the bottom of certain posts throughout the month to help you remember!
If you have any questions please feel free to email me!
